Taranaki New Zealand

The 2018 NZ Classical Saxophone School and Festival will take place this Easter weekend at stunning Puritawa Estate, Taranaki. Events over the weekend will include lessons, masterclasses, ensembles (large and small), presentations from sponsors, concerts from guest tutors and participants... plus much more. The venue is located only 20 minutes drive to downtown New Plymouth and 10 minutes to New Plymouth Airport. Registration will be open from 4th - 28th February.

It's not essential to have a preformed ensemble (quartet/trio/etc.), however pre-existing ensembles are of course encouraged to attend. We will do our best to match you with a quartet/trio/quintet if you don't already have a group.

The maximum number of participants we can accept is limited, so we do encourage signing up as soon as possible. Registration will close on 28th of February (or when all places are filled. Note: Registration isn't final until payment has been finalised.

Activities will kick off at 2pm on Good Friday, with 3 concerts planned for the weekend (2 participant concerts and 1 from our guest tutors). The weekend will conclude with a free public lunch-concert in New Plymouth, all to be wrapped-up by 12.45pm Monday (2nd April).
